About the Staff

Mrs. Heather Mix

Director & Administrator

Heather Mix graduated from Kent State University in 2004 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. This is her fourth year with the Rootstown Co-Op. This year, Heather will be overseeing the Co-Op as the director and administrator.

Heather and her husband grew up in the neighboring school district. Heather is familiar with the Co-Op experience because her son also attended one.

Heather believes that children learn through play and hands- on activities and that parental involvement is the key to the success of this program!

Ms. Stefanie Barnhouse

Teacher

Stefanie Barnhouse graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. This is her first year with the Rootstown Co-Op.

Mrs. Cathy Rothermel

Teaching Assistant

Cathy Rothermel graduated from Rio Grande College in southern Ohio with a degree in Elementary Education. This is her third year with the Rootstown Co-Op. Cathy has been married for 33 years and has two grown sons.
