The Tuesday /
Thursday PM Class is designed for 4 and 5 year old children. This class will cover many of the same
concepts as the Monday / Wednesday / Friday Pre- kindergarten class.
Following is
the schedule that we typically follow:

12:25pm
|
Classroom Helper Arrives (optional)
-helps prepare and set up for the day
|

12:30pm- 12:40pm
|
Student Arrival
-play with puzzles and read books until all children arrive
|
|
12:45pm- 1:15pm
|
Morning Meeting
-Pledge of Allegiance, calendar, weather bear, story, review
letters, introduce new things
|
|
1:15pm- 1:30pm
|
Large Group Activity
-children do an activity as a large group such as practicing writing
letters, craft, etc.
|
|
1:30pm- 2:05pm
|
Free Choice & Individual/Small Group Instruction
-children have time to play in the blocks, dramatic play, writing
center, puzzles, library, kitchen, etc.
-children are pulled aside for a few minutes for individual or small
group instruction which could include working on letters or doing a craft

|
2:05pm- 2:30pm
|
Restroom Break & Snack
-children use the restroom as a group, wash hands and prepare to
have snack
-say a ‘thank you’ and thank child who brought the snack
|
|
2:30pm- 2:45pm
|
Large Motor Activity
-play outside on playground, parachute or instruments
-play inside by dancing, singing, musical chairs, hot potato,
statue, etc.

2:45pm
|
Pack Up
-children prepare to go home
|
|
2:50pm- 3:00pm
|
Student Dismissal
|
