The Monday / Wednesday
/ Friday Class is designed for 4 and 5 year old children who will be
attending kindergarten the following school year. This is a Pre- Kindergarten class.
Following is
the schedule that we typically follow:

9:10am

Classroom Helper Arrives (optional)
-helps prepare and set up for the day
|

9:15am- 9:40am
|
Student Arrival
-students arrive from 9:15am- 9:30am
-play with puzzles and read books until all children arrive
-snack is provided to children who would like it until 9:40am
|
|
9:45am- 10:15am
|
Morning Meeting
-Pledge of Allegiance, calendar, weather bear, story, review
letters, introduce new things
|
|
10:15am- 10:30am
|
Large Group Activity
-children do an activity as a large group such as practicing writing
letters, craft, etc.
|
|
10:30am- 11:35am
|
Free Choice & Individual/Small Group Instruction
-children have time to play in the blocks, dramatic play, writing
center, puzzles, library, kitchen, etc.
-computer time will be scheduled for each child daily
-children are pulled aside for a few minutes for individual or small
group instruction which could include working on letters or doing a craft

11:35am- 11:50am
|
Restroom Break
-children use the restroom as a group, wash hands and prepare to
have lunch
|
|
11:50am- 12:25pm
|
Lunch
-say a ‘thank you’
-children eat their parent- provided lunches as a group
|
|
12:25pm- 12:45pm
|
Small Group Games / Activity
-children are divided into small groups to work with staff on games
or activities
|
|
12:45pm- 12:55pm
|
Large Motor Activity
--play outside on playground, parachute or
instruments
-play inside by dancing, singing, musical
chairs, hot potato, statue, etc.

12:55pm
|
Pack Up
-children prepare to go home
|
|
1:00pm- 1:15pm
|
Student Dismissal
